Global Women in Service (GWS) is a women-led company developing locally led volunteer opportunities and the support around them. We work with community partners to clarify meaningful roles, prepare participants, and help create a welcoming experience. The first pilot is in development.

No. You may be interested in serving close to home, elsewhere in your country, or abroad. Travel is optional.

No. GWS is exploring opportunities with Rotary-connected communities and other local partners. GWS is independent and is not a Rotary International program. Each participating organization decides whether and how to work with us.

The first pilot is being developed. The site welcomes interest and requests, but a particular project, location, or date is not confirmed until GWS and a local partner have agreed on the details.

Both. Individuals can request an opportunity, and workplaces, clubs, friends, and other groups can inquire together. Group plans depend on the local partner’s needs and capacity.

That will vary by project. GWS is exploring options ranging from a few hours to recurring service and longer skills-based roles. The time commitment will be described before you decide to participate.

Not for every opportunity. Each role may have its own qualifications, orientation, age limits, or screening requirements. We will share those requirements before participation is confirmed.

That is part of the vision. Tell us where and when you expect to travel and what kinds of service interest you. A suitable opportunity depends on local need, host availability, and the time available to prepare.

Yes. Tell us your city, region or state, and country, along with your interests and availability. GWS can explore whether a local partner has an appropriate need.

Ask about a specific opportunity. The local partner sets age, supervision, and eligibility requirements, and some activities may not be suitable for children.

Use an opportunity request when you have a location, date, cause, or group in mind and want GWS to explore a possibility. Join the interest list if you want updates as the pilot takes shape. Neither is a confirmed placement.

GWS will review what you share and may follow up for details. If there is a possible fit, we will speak with a local partner about its needs and capacity before discussing a specific opportunity with you. Timing and availability will vary.

Yes. An employer or employee group can describe its goals, location, group size, timing, and available budget. GWS can explore a project with a local partner and discuss coordination and support as a tailored service.

Yes. Please email hello@globalwomeninservice.org with your organization, location, community need, proposed volunteer role, and local point of contact. GWS will review whether the project fits the developing pilot.

The interest list and opportunity inquiry do not carry a fee. Costs for a future experience have not been set. If an opportunity involves a participation or coordination fee, supplies, travel, lodging, or other costs, those details should be disclosed before you commit.

The local organization identifies the community need and leads the project. GWS helps develop the participant experience and preparation with partners. The specific host, supervisor, tasks, and point of contact will be identified for a confirmed opportunity.

GWS is developing a process to look at the local need, volunteer role, host readiness, expectations, qualifications, accessibility, costs, and points of contact. Review does not eliminate every risk. The local partner’s project requirements and instructions still apply.

Share what would help you participate when you inquire. GWS can discuss the role and practical details with the local partner, but accessibility will vary by project and location. We want you to have the information needed to decide whether an opportunity is a fit.

That will be specified for each opportunity. Do not assume that travel or lodging is included. A local project may require no travel at all.
